Dossier — Private Notes App

A privacy-first iOS notes app built with SwiftUI. Dossier focuses on calm UX, offline-first design, and full iCloud sync — no tracking, no ads.

Challenge

Most notes apps either compromise on privacy, add unnecessary complexity, or feel cluttered with features that get in the way of thinking. The goal was to build something that a privacy-conscious person could trust completely and actually enjoy using.

Approach

Built natively in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS. Designed from the ground up to be offline-first, with iCloud sync handled transparently. UI decisions were deliberately minimal — every element earns its place. Privacy was treated as a hard constraint, not a preference: no analytics, no third-party tracking, no account sign-in required.

Outcome

Dossier shipped to the App Store and is available publicly at https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/darminsky-dossier/id6759606307. The app demonstrates that a clean, privacy-respecting experience is achievable without sacrificing polish or usability.
